Virtual lactation care with an IBCLC

Takes about 2 minutes. You are not charged to request.
Wherever you are in it, we can help.

What happens in a visit
A typical visit runs about an hour. Your IBCLC adjusts to what you need.
- Your storyPregnancy, birth, baby's feeding so far, and what you want to change.
- A live feed or pump sessionBreastfeed, bottle-feed, or pump on camera while your IBCLC watches and coaches.
- A plan you can followClear next steps in writing, so you are not trying to remember everything at 3 a.m.
- Follow-upA check-in on what is working, and another visit if you want one.
What IBCLC means
IBCLC stands for International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. IBCLCs are certified by the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners. The credential takes lactation-specific education, supervised clinical practice, and a certification exam, plus continuing education to stay certified.
What video can and cannot do
Your IBCLC can watch a feed, coach latch and positioning as it happens, check your pump setup, and build a plan. Video cannot replace a hands-on mouth exam or a weighed feed. If you need one, your IBCLC will tell you and help you find in-person care.

What parents are saying
I was up at 3 a.m. googling everything. One visit and I finally had a plan written down that I could actually follow.
I wasn't sure a video visit would be the same. She watched me feed and adjusted my positioning right there on the screen.
They checked my insurance before I booked, so there were no surprises. That alone took a weight off.

Questions parents ask before booking
How much will my visit cost?
Often $0 with insurance, $149 flat without. We check your benefits before your visit and tell you what to expect.
Is it covered by my insurance?
Under the ACA, most non-grandfathered plans must cover lactation support. How it is delivered varies by plan, which is why we check first. Coverage is not guaranteed.
Can a video visit really help?
Yes for a lot of things: latch and positioning coaching, pumping setup, supply planning, and a clear plan. Video cannot replace a hands-on exam or a weighed feed. If you need one, we say so.
What happens in a visit?
About an hour: your story, a live feed or pump session, a written plan, and follow-up.
Do I need a referral?
[To confirm.] We flag any referral or prior authorization your plan needs.
Can I use HSA or FSA?
Yes, HSA and FSA cards are accepted.
Will I be charged to book?
No. A card stays on file for copays, no-shows, and the self-pay fee if insurance does not cover your session.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
[Policy to be defined.]
Which states do you serve?
[Launch states to be confirmed.]
Can I keep seeing the same IBCLC?
[Depends on our care model.]
You don't have to figure this out alone.
Tell us what's hard right now. We'll take it from there.
